I'M 1 OF ONLY 9 TELEPLAY FINALISTS AT THE SKYWAY FILM FESTIVAL
Hi everyone! Here's some great news - my T.V. pilot, "Catalyst" was one of only 9 finalists to get selected at the Skway Film Festival! Judging for the teleplay competition was headed by Leslie Cohen, V.P. of Programming at HBO. So I'm really happy to be a finalist, picked by such an esteemed judge. The festival is also sponsored by PMK * BMC and HBO, so it's a big deal. I highly recommend contests and festivals to other screenwriters out there who want to get their work read. With "Safe House" and "The Realm of The Stones", I started small. I only entered small contests that weren't very well known, didn't have prestigious prizes or well-known judges. It was a great way to test the waters and see if my writing was get noticed. After winning some of the small contests, I decided to kick it up a notch - I'm writing new content and getting it out there to bigger contests and festivals! I'm applying to a bunch of new competitions this year - so wish me luck!
